Come January 1 and the whole United States will be seen celebrating the New Year with fun and excitement. Americans simply can’t resist celebrating New Year in USA, as for them it’s the time of the year to remember the achievements and make merry. When it comes to celebrating New Year in the United States, it’s no doubt turns into a gala event.
New Year in USA is known all over for its variety of pompous parades. Tournament of Roses, Fiesta Bowl and Orange Bowl are some of the parades that take place in Unites States during the New Year. Participants march along the bands during the Tournament of Roses that lasts for more than five miles. Orange Bowl Games or the Fiesta Bowl Games are yet another way of seeing the Americans full of excitement and celebrating the New Year.
Be it watching television or going in masquerade balls, Americans have different ways to celebrate the New Year in USA. Puns, Hotels and Casinos are seen flooded with people partying hard till the wee hours dancing away the night with live music during the New Year bash in United States.
In many New Year parties in USA, people follow a dress code or theme, they come covering their face with masks and they unmark only when the clock strikes 12 in the midnight. A unique tradition followed during New Year in US by many is the eating of the auspicious black-eyed peas and rice called Hoppin’ Johns. Then in some places in the United States, New Year is welcomed with the tradition of uncorking the bubbly champagne as the clock strikes midnight.
If you are a part animal and holidaying in USA, then do make sure to be a part of the huge ball that is organized at Time Square in the New York City during the New Year. Watched over by thousands of Americans, in this tradition, a minute before the New Year’s Day, a bright lighted ball is dropped from the top of a pole. This ball reaches the ground giving a signal to all present there about the arrival of the New Year and everybody is then seen hugging, kissing and wishing Happy New Year.
